Looking to clear off that homescreen and really show off the resolution and homescreen real estate onyour Bold 99xx? Well bluemax413 has made this possible. He has spent a great deal of time making the first OS7 minimalist theme, Minimo 2. Continue reading to see how to get your FREE copy and for another couple of screenshots.
Minimo 2 totally opens up the homescreen allowing for the custom wallpapers we all have, and giving them the space they need. It also has hotspots. This is the first time I have seen hotspots on a theme (it is also my first time with a BlackBerry touchscreen). By touching different zones of the homescreen it opens up a different icon in the app menu.
You can grab your free copy for you Bold 99xx by heading to the BerryReview Store and using the coupon BRMinimo2 (limited so hurry). Let us know what you think below in the comments.
There is also a DISCLAIMER from bluemax413:
***WARNING: DUE TO RIM’s ISSUES WITH CUSTOM THEMES AND THE RIBBON MANAGER, THE MAIN APP SCREEN IS ALWAYS WHITE. ALSO, WHEN OPENING A FOLDER, YOU CAN’T SEE THE ICONS, BUT YOU CAN SEARCH FOR THEM USING UNIVERSAL SEARCH.***
***WARNING: BECAUSE THERE ISN’T OFFICIAL SUPPORT FOR OS7 THEMES, THERE MAY BE BUGS!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!***
I have found instead of using Universal Search, I just load the stock theme, and move the items to the home application screen. Then reload Minimo 2 and all is well.
