Derek let us know that WhatsApp has updated their BlackBerry client to v2.7.4675 from v2.7.2723. This new version brings the usual round of bug fixes and performance enhancements. It also seems to add the ability to send your location from a chat screen and improvements all around.
You can pick up the update at www.whatsapp.com from your BlackBerry

The latest whatsapp update on my Bold 9790 is 2.7.4695 and not 2.7.4675. Got it from the App World.

I have also published an article about WhatsApp, and I have personally wrote WhatsApp an email notifying them that they have made an error with version “2.7.4675″, should be 2.7.4695. it’s a human error from WhatsApp, not BlackBerry App World.
The download itself is fine.
I installed it on my Bold 9900, flawless app, runs awesome.
BerryReview, you guys might want to take a second look at the OTA version number and compare it to B.A.W ok

Thanks Grimreaper I will let me contact at WhatsApp know. I personally try to avoid App World for downloads unless I have to. I find you skip the delay with direct downloads for most apps.

There are some errors in the last version – I use homescreen icon for contact. If I want to start a new chat with such a contact, it ist not possible to click on the homescreen icon to start it, the contact search function will be started. And if I want to send a first message in a new chat, I cannot press the trackball and choose ‘Send’, it doesnt work as well.

I reported some of those bugs to them and they have replicated them and are working on a fix.

I have Blackberry 8830 software version 4.5.0.186 and there is no software upgrade available for this Phone. This is making getting Whatsapp on this phone impossible. Because Whatsapp requires blackberry Software version to be 4.6 or higher. The links to download on this page takes me to whatsapp new version. So is there a site where I can get old whats app version for free. (By the way I have to us this phone as we are not allowed to carry phones with Camera where i work. And this is the best I can find in low budget smart phones from blackberry. Help is much appreciated.
