RIM did a drastic cut of their workforce by 2,000 employees a bit back but they are still growing. They just held a job fair in Toronto with the intent to fill 600 positions in Waterloo, Ont. with some openings also in Mississauga, Ont. RIM also has had a bunch more stops in their recruitment push with job fairs in Halifax and Dallas, Texas.
CBC Canada got a hold of a few of the job applicants at the Toronto fair to get a feeling of what they are thinking. Most of these new positions are in “software development and testing, hardware engineering and technical support” so hopefully RIM is prepping for a huge BlackBerry 10 phone launch.
