There have been a few PlayBook apps that have done similar things in the past but this latest Android port works relatively well and is free. Offline Reader by Lightful Designs simply lets you punch in a website address and it will save it so you can read it when you are offline. It needs a few tweaks to round out the edges but its pretty solid for a free app.

Nice. We need a polished version of this, but I’ll download.

Well when I clicked the link above it said it is not supported by my current device. This is for the playbook isn’t it? What is the actual name of the app so I can search here for it? Thanks

Crashed much android player. That’s it. Officially no value in having that player on the playbook. 6000+ android apps worthless. I’m not going to reboot everytimd I have to run an app. Another letdown.

I tend to over do it sometimes.

No worries Kiddo I know how you feel. Thanks for hunting it down. The Android apps are a great stopgap but not much more. Its a way to get those apps before they are fully on the platform.
