RIM just started showing us in their latest leaked OS builds that DLNA is coming officially soon in OS 7.1 but that is only for devices that will be getting OS 7.1. The team at Enefce managed to outdo RIM by releasing a beta of their basic UPnP media server that allows you to browse your BlackBerry pictures and MP3 files from any DLNA device like your TV, PS3, and many others. The big differentiator for EnefceDMS is that it works on OS 5.0, 6.0, & 7.0 devices over your home Wi-Fi network.
Check out the EnefceDMS beta for yourself and let us know what you think!

It’s interesting that another company can do what RIM apparently is unable. I had no problem getting my Samsung TV using it’s Allstream DLNA settings to see my 9780 and all of the various folders with my music/images. The only problem is that all of my .mp3 and .jpg were read as unsurpported media. Not sure if that’s the TV or the app as yet. Still have to test out the PS3. Hopefully that will work out.

There is a new version for the EnefceDMS application, which has a lot of improvement.
