Best Buy Canada’s PlayBook OS 2.0 Page Hint at Kindle & Twitter Apps

Best Buy PlayBook Page

A few readers sent in tips letting us know that Best Buy in Canada has posted up a new Coming Soon page for the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 launch. The most interesting part was spotted by Lucas @N4BB who noticed that the website text mentions a Twitter app along with an Amazon Kindle app for the PlayBook. Amazon was supposed to release a Kindle app for the PlayBook ages ago but has been really quiet on that front recently. We cannot tell if the Twitter app is just the unified inbox integration we have already been shown or a full blown Twitter client like the PlayBook Facebook app.

Plug in to BlackBerry App World and read, write and game like never before. With thousands of apps for every use, you’ll never run out of new and exciting options. Pick up Angry Birds or Cut the Rope, read the latest magazines, or connect online with Facebook and Twitter apps. With access to Kobo and Kindle, you can enjoy new late night reading without ever leaving your living room.

And the options for entertainment don’t end with apps. Connect to the BlackBerry Video Store and hook up with blockbuster movies and first-run TV shows on demand, then watch them on the vibrant, HD display of your tablet. There’s even a built-in HDMI connection to plug your PlayBook into your big screen TV when you want to enjoy movies at home.

Also of interest is the fact that the ad mentions that you will be able to read the latest magazines which once again hints towards Zinio launching soon on the BlackBerry PlayBook. We have been teased with Zinio quite a few times and RIM has confirmed that it is coming in OS 2.0. Also of note is that RIM is highlighting that you will be able to watch both “blockbuster movies” and “first run TV shows on demand.”
