EA Announces Launch of Plants VS. Zombies on the PlayBook – Help us find it!

Plants Zombies

We have known for a bit that Plants vs Zombies was coming to the BlackBerry PlayBook. Tom pointed out to us that EA, the parent company of the developer PopCap Games, claims that Plants vs Zombies is now available for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The thing is I cannot find it in App World so I thought I would ask all of you to help us track it down. let us know if you spot it!

Here is the announcement from EA’s website:

PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES IS NOW ON THE BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK

Get ready to soil your plants – again! PopCap Games has announced that their award-winning game, Plants vs. Zombies, is now available for the Blackberry Playbook. A longtime hit on other platforms, this is the first time Blackberry users can dig into the fun-dead action.

Popular among gamers of all ages, Plants vs. Zombies features 50 action-packed and infinitely replayable levels, plus lively mini-games that challenge you to defend your house from zombies before they reach your front door.

Choose from an ever-increasing arsenal of zombie-zapping plants that will help you slow down, confuse, weaken, and mulchify the zombies plodding across your lawn. Each type of zombie has its own special skills and behaviors, so you’ll need quick, strategic placement of plants like peashooters, cherry bombs, and wall-nuts to stop the zombies dead in their tracks.

Here is a screenshot of the announcement in case it is taken down:

  1. nope, cant find it either??

  2. I tried searching for all Electronic Arts apps and couldn’t find it either. It will probably show up in a day or two.

  3. It should be 3-4 days (since thats how long it takes for approval?)

  4. Well this sucks – I was looking forward to playing when I got home tonight. Maybe they are releasing it only with 2.0 possibly next week?
