PlayBook OS 2.0 Advertisements Showing up in Stores in the UK

The guys over at N4BB spotted something interesting today. It seems like stores in the UK are starting to put up advertisements for the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0. This is definitely a good sign that the PlayBook OS 2.0 launch is just right around the corner. Now, considering that the PlayBook OS 2.0′s official release should be just weeks away, things are looking positive!

PlayBook OS 2.0 will finally bring some features that we have been patiently waiting for: native PIM apps with email, calendar, contacts, and a video store. The update will also bring a revamped UI and quite a few other improvements. I am pretty confident that they won;t let us down. I’m excited, are you? With DevCon on going, hopefully we do get some nice little positive surprises!!

  1. Wow this is good!!!!!!

  2. Nice to see RIM advertising something like this. With what has to be many thousands of PB’s sold these last few months a lot of people are waiting for 2.

    • Hi Steve,
Ty from RIM here. Sounds like you’re looking forward to PlayBook 2.0 as much as I am. Since you’re already a BlackBerry smartphone user, I recommend checking out this video we shot at CES on the new BlackBerry Bridge features in PlayBook 2.0: The improved Bridge app brings the relationship between your BlackBerry smartphone and the PlayBook to a whole new level, including the ability to use your phone’s keyboard as a wireless remote control for your PlayBook. Give the video a watch when you can and enjoy!

  3. maybe Berryfication is right, and its dropping tomorrow

    • No berryfication is not right. Has anyone got a bridge update today? Well don’t expect to see a playbook update before a bridge update.
