A buddy of mine let us know that Neurona Sistemas has released My Hard Disk for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The new app lets you access your PC’s hard disk including files and folders from your PlayBook to immediately access the files you need. The app works with a client on your PC and you have to register the address to make sure you can connect.
If you have been looking for a solution like this check out My Hard Disk for BlackBerry PlayBook for $1.99 in App World

Hey Ronen, is this better then an RDP? It sounds like might be what I’m looking for. I tried the RDM+ but it was really slow and not necessarily what I want. I just need access to my files/folders etc. I don’t want to manipulate stuff on my desktop.

Yeah this simply gives you access to the files on your PC from your PlayBook without all the remote desktop stuff. You might want to also check out Box.net.

Does your PC need to be on in order to access the files ?

If you’re running the 2.0 beta (or when we finally get 2.0 officially), you can run ES Explorer in Android emulation and wirelessly connect to your Windows PC using standard SAMBA shares. Much easier and free.
