iTunes Upload Brings Your 7Digital PlayBook Music Purchases to Your PC

7Digital Music Store

Daniel Bigham has released another one of his popular sync apps for the BlackBerry PlayBook. His latest is a sister app for his iTunes Sync app called iTunes Upload. What it does is upload the music you have purchased on your PlayBook from 7Digital to your PC running iTunes. Currently it only supports Windows PCs unlike the iTunes Sync app which supports both Windows & Mac. You also have to have a little app running on your PC (same app as iTunes Sync) to enable the transfer.

If syncing your music purchases back to iTunes is something you have been struggling with check out iTunes Upload for $1.99 in App World. Kudos to kiddo2050 (different Daniel) for pointing it out in the forums.

  1. Hey, thanks for the coverage!

Note that I decided to change the name of the app to “Music Upload” since it seemed questionable to refer to “iTunes” in the name given that it encourages people go purchase their music elsewhere than iTunes. The version of the program that was released today is actually named “Music Sync” (in terms of the binary that you download), however it looks like RIM hasn’t yet processed my request to change the name of the app in App World.

  2. So any music I purshase from 7dijital in my PlayBook I can’t load into my PC? (I’ve only bought 1 so far)
If that is the case, I won’t be buying anymore music from 7dijital anymore.
