Handster now has an impressive 815+ Android apps ported to the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 on App World. One of the latest is eBuddy messenger which is a cross platform instant messaging app. It connects to MSN, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook Chat, Yahoo, MySpace, Google Talk, ICQ, AIM, and Hyves through their app. It actually works ok on the PlayBook even through it seems to be a straight port though it does have an annoying bug of not being able to see what you are typing.

Seriously? You are saying an app based entirely on text messages is “OK” even though you can’t see what you’re typing? That is completely unacceptable! And it doesn’t matter if the app is free if itbdoesn’t function.
You just lost all my respect as a review site.

Sorry you feel that way. I was considering not having it mentioned but right now the only other alternative costs $7.99 so some might think it useful. In fact the 20 reviewers on App World seem to mostly agree on that:
