Verizon announced just yesterday that OS 7.1 was coming for the Bold 9930 and Torch 9850. Now Tom and John let us know that Verizon is pushing out the OS update v7.1.0.163 for both devices. The OS update is OTA wireless only for now but it should be up on Verizon’s download site within the next few days hopefully.
Let us know when it gets rolled out to you if you have Verizon!

I didn’t get a notification on my 9930, but when I did a check about 1am this morning the update was available and I installed.

FYI, the update is a 40.3 MB download OTA.
