Say it aint so! We first saw the BlackBerry 10 Milan Slider concept phone in a render earlier this month. I have heard so many conflicting reports about this device that it does not amaze me that Lucas @N4BB heard that it has been cancelled. Who knows what the true story but we have been hearing these codenames ranging from Lisbon to Black Forest and Nevada to Colt with Milan thrown in for good measure.
What RIM truly needs is a classic BlackBerry QWERTY form factor BlackBerry 10 device and they need to launch it now…
Anybody else hoping there is a codename GodBerry?

what are the theorized reasons for the scrapping?
Torch slider is a very popular device.
They can’t get it thin enough to compete?

My wife and I love our 9800 and 9810, I was looking forward to the Milan or such type device, even holding onto my upgrade for it. I just hope they decide to bring something like the 98XX form factor in the new lineup.

I doubt it is totally cancelled from what I have heard. Just this specific design concept. They had quite a bit of success with the slider so I doubt it is going anywhere.

I agree but a horizontal slider does not at all appeal to me.

I get that maybe it would have been too top heavy given it was 4.2 inch
I hope they are still planning on doing a slider as a BB10 slider would be very desirable

Very disappointed at this news. I loved my 9800 & love my 9810. Was so looking forward to this device.

I didn’t care for the design of the Milan, but the slider form factor needs to live on. It is the best of both worlds – full touch for bigger screen and physical keyboard for typing longer messages..

I totally agree with you. The reason I still have a blkbry is for the full query.

Easy, if RIM planned to make any BB called GodWhatever I won’t buy it!

It was just a figure of speech. RIM needs to aim for the stars.

Anyone who writes blkbry is a re-tard.

I hope they cancelled it because they are still tweaking the design. I remember that RIMM bought a patent for the interchangebale horizontal and vertical qwerty keyboards, it would would be noce if they could integrate this into the new Milan design.

I would much rather see a landscape slider than another portrait slider like this (and Torch).
