Review: Pad Bracket
Price: $25.00 at Clayware Games
As convenient and portable as the tablet is, I need it to occasionally be standing up in front of me. After all our TV’s and our monitors don’t lie flat on our tables and desks. There are a few specific places where this would be quite helpful, namely the kitchen and the bathroom. This is where the Pad Bracket comes into play.
Although marketed towards the iPad, the Pad Bracket can hold any device that fits within. As the Playbook is slightly thicker at the bottom than the iPad is, the Playbook doesn’t insert the entire way, however it’s definitely sturdy, and also leans back against the wall. At no point did I feel worried that my Playbook was not safe in the Pad Bracket.
After using the Pad Bracket for the last week or two, I’ve found it very useful in the kitchen for having recipes pulled up while cooking, watching videos while cleaning dishes, and the overall comfort of having my “tech toys” with me and easily accessible in another place. I’m looking forward to getting a second one to hang up on the bathroom wall as well.
As seen in the additional pictures below, the Pad Bracket holds the Playbook either vertically or horizontally, also quite handy. Overall the Pad Bracket has been very convenient and I would highly suggest you get one or two for those spots that would just be perfect to have your tablet in front of you around your home. Although you may feel like taking any piece of plastic and attempting your own contraption to save a few bucks, I believe the Pad Bracket is worth the comfort you get in knowing that your tablet is being held well.
