Jen let us know that Spotify just announced a BlackBerry app on their website. The new app is available now but is limited to certain phones. They specifically list the compatible phones to include the Bold 9780, Bold 9700, Curve 9300, Bold 9000, and Curve 8520 which is odd since their accompanying screenshot shows a Bold 9900… They said that currently the app only supports GSM phones while CDMA phones and the Torch 9800 are not supported.
I am not a big fan of these sorts of quasi launches but if you have a Spotify premium subscription or want to give their 30 day trial a spin you can pick up the app from m.spotify.com. More details can be found on Spotify’s new BlackBerry page.
