BlackBerry PlayBook OS Developer Beta Brings Loads of Goodies!

Gift PlayBook

We are just starting to play with the latest BlackBerry PlayBook OS developer beta and you can see that RIM is starting to make some nice changes. My buddy Shahriyar pointed out to me that it supports Bluetooth headsets along with auto correct outside of bridge. He also noticed that it scores a 308 on the HTML5 test site.

Keep in mind this update may patch the current DingleBerry jailbreak so if you have been relying on that you may want to wait until we get confirmation one way or the other.

  3. What about the browser speed, I find that 1.0.8 lags a lot and crashes quite often. Have you noticed any of this with the new update?

  6. Browser still can’t play HD Flash videos

I’ve heard that browser speed is much better in this one. Can we finally edit our bookmarks and change the order?

  8. If you are having trouble getting this update, be sure to register at the SDK site ( instead of the Android site ( I registered on the SDK site and had the update available immediately.
