RIM has made their new version of App World publicly available tonight. This new version adds all of the features we have been telling you about like begging/gifting apps and Wi-Fi use along with content ratings. The update should also fix a few other bugs but RIM still has a way to go.
You can download the latest version of App World from your BlackBerry at www.blackberry.com/appworld

Ive been using the 3.1 betas happily. I do the beta zone surveys when I can. Not gonna be using the beg option as I am the bread winner, the top dog the one who hemorrhages the cash. Now if my daughter figures out how to get this running on her 9000 I could be in for a few begs. Still not figured out the animated smilies.

Don’t touch the latest version 3.1.0.56 of App World it is faulty. On installation on a BB9700 with OS 5 it produces Uncaught exception error:
Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
Even uninstalling and reloading the App from RIM download site does not fix it. The App signals it is installed successfully but when you click onto it, it remains frozen with the above error. Thus there is no way to update, buy or replace Apps. I hope they fix the buggy App. This is a really gross error coming on the tail of their recent foul up on their data connections.

This is a copy of an answer I found.
BlackBerry says uninstall and reinstall App World. This does not work. I found that going to this site http://rroyy.com/otaarchive/ and selecting the previous version of app world solved it. Just uninstall the version 56 of App World and then install the version 29 of App World. Don’t forget to choose the correct OS for your device.
