NikkiSoft has updated its hugely popular launcher app QuickLaunch to v4.0 for BlackBerry OS 7 devices. The new version brings a load of new features which will be coming to OS 6.0 devices soon. QuickLaunch is one of those tools that people either love or hate so it may be worth checking out.

It’s a little bit of a bummer that they had a falling out with MobiHand. I picked up v3.9 with them over a year ago. Now I can’t upgrade without paying. Considering I don’t use it often, I probably won’t bother. I’ll have to look over the new features more to see if it’s worth it.

Contact the vendor directly. I cannot believe that any reputable vendor would refuse an upgrade for a customer due to the MobiHand fiasco.

Be ware. Lots of folks reporting it doesn’t run on numerous os7.0.0.xxx versions.
