Free RadioOpt Traffic Monitor Wants to Monitor Your BlackBerry Data Usage

I am not sure how RadioOpt Traffic Monitor is totaling your data usage on BlackBerrys due to API changes RIM made ages ago but it may be worth a shot. A friend of mine has been trying to make it by on AT&T’s 200MB BlackBerry data plan and told me he has been using RadioOpt Traffic Monitor. The app does seem to be working for him though it does have some questionable items in its user license but still I thought it would be worth mentioning.

  1. Oh this is nice! Does it count SMS/MMS too?

  2. What are the questionable items in its user license?

  3. This looks like it could be useful but I’d want to know what questionable items are in the license as well.

    • From what I read of the EULA they were not that specific on what they do with the information they gather and them owning it. They also ask for some interesting permissions when installing. I don’t have the app installed anymore but you can take a look at it for yourself.

  4. What questionable items in the EULA? I can’t see what it is without installing the bloody thing. Help???
