Shape let us know about their latest BlackBerry Beta app which integrates their new Beep cross platform messaging service with IM+. I am not sure if we need yet another cross platform messenger but at least this one is baked into the new IM+. The way it works is by merging your Address Book with your instant messaging client. Everybody on IM+ Beep is using their phone number as their username sort of like how WhatsApp works.

PS: The most active beta testers will be rewarded with licenses for IM+ Pro or other SHAPE Services products of their choice.

IM+ with beep in Beta works for me! I like it and it runs nicely.
