I gave my wife a PB for her birthday recently – she’s loving it, in her purse with her to work everyday! However, while she uses a BB for work as well, did not know anything about the device. Her first question – is it like an iPad? (what her boss uses). I have to say, that RIM managed to do such a poor job marketing their tablet – such a shame:(

Haha, what? The Playbook is a better piece of hardware to begin with but why anyone would get a Fire over a Playbook when the prices are the same is beyond me. Of course, I tried to make that argument to 3 of my siblings and lost on all 3. Fire 3 Playbook 0.

My friend has a playbook and it’s sick. I think the 7″ tablets are way more practical then 10″. You can just hold it in your hand and type with both thumbs like you’re text messaging. I don’t need a bunch of useless apps that make my voice sound like T-pain. I want a playbook! Please let me win!

Everyone has been bashing RIM but I’m a Berry Believer. I also read BerryReview all the time. I’m a true fan and would love to win the Playbook because I want to see the Blackberry brand live on! I build themes and hybrid OSes for BlackBerry…and yet all I have is a 9700. I haven’t wanted to plunge into OS7 devices yet because I love my battery life. And as a single dad to 2 daughters, a PlayBook just hasn’t been high on the list of priority buys this season. But I’d like to get my hands on a QNX-based device so I can be ready when BBX hits (yes, I stubbornly still call it that.)

I’m sure that there are many people deserving of the Playbook. Some probably more than others, but I am one of those that is quite deserving of it, for a couple of reasons.
I’m a student, and I’ve always loved Blackberry. My uncle’s been a faithful Bold and Torch user for years now, and I was always fascinated by how such power could fit into such a small device. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to afford one. I eyed many smartphones, and was especially sold on the Playbook, but once again, it never was economically viable.
Having a Playbook would help me with my studies excellently. The word processor and office tools would come in so much handy, and its 7″ size would let me take in just about anywhere and everywhere that I go, without it being too small that I can barely see what I’m doing. I’m one of the the top students in many of my classes, and I think that owning a Playbook would only improve on that.
I’d also be able to use the Playbook for helping me with app development, something that I’ve always wanted to do and are currently learning. I’d love to help build apps for all Playbook users to try, and help keep the Blackberry spirit and hope alive. I could show the Playbook to friends, family or anybody else that I may know, so that they could realize the processing power that the device really has, and get rid of any prejudices that they have against Blackberry.
I know that there are so many people that deserve a Playbook, and many possibly more than me, but hopefully this one time I could win this contest, and be able to have the best tablet on the market.
