App World Website Homepage Gets Revamped – Clear Your Cache

App World fixed App World fixed 2

I have been waiting for RIM to revamp and update their BlackBerry App World desktop website and they seem to be doing it slowly. I was hoping for things like higher resolution screenshots and more AJAX features but Mike @BBEmpire (thanks Tashanna!) noticed that RIM has simply revamped the App World homepage. The new homepage features bigger and cleaner images in the featured carousel along with other tweaks. I don’t see any mention of the revamp in RIM’s release notes so it is probably a small thing.

Check out the new homepage for App World here. If you see it all wonkey like the images below you need to clear your browser content cache.

  1. Hmm..On my browser the pictures in the carousel look horrible. They are blurry and out of focus. Did they port the device App World to the online one? lol.

  2. Not sure about everyone else but on the 9810 this change has been around for about two weeks actually. I love the change!

  3. I HATE the new pages. They are shiny black and on my Bold 9000 Blackberry it is hard to see imagines and especially the print.

And since I have upgraded from 4.6 something to 5 something, I can not longer click my roller ball. Ergo, nothing will “download”. Which you could select and hit enter or something.

It is seriously dark and hard to read on my Bold.
