Wikitude is the app RIM chose to show of the augmented reality features in BlackBerry 7. It shipped with all the the latest BlackBerry 7 devices as a free app that let you see what is around you overlaid on your current view. For example, you can find BBM users near you to chat up. The new update to v6.0.13 was pushed out through App World free for all users and adds:
- Option in settings screen to show BBM contacts only
- Added menu option in list view to sort BBM contacts first
- Added “bring me there” button to POI detail screen
- Permission for resetting the idle timer and input simulation are now optional, no longer mandatory
- Standby while being in cam view is now disabled
You can pick up The latest version of Wikitude in BlackBerry App World

I’d like to see this integrated with Blackberry Traffic.

This new version requests compass “tune uping” too often like every few seconds. Annoying as hell.

I love the concept, but I too have given up on anything that uses the compass and requires so many tuneups. I can use it for a max of 30 seconds and it will request a tuneup. Likely OS issues and not Wikitude.
