BlackBerry PlayBook OS v1.07.3312 Fixes Adobe Flash Vulnerability

RIM has pushed out an update to the BlackBerry PlayBook OS bringing it to OS v1.07.3312. This version is now available and addresses a vulnerability that Adobe announced in Flash on September 21st that could potentially cause issues for devices that support Flash though no exploits are currently documented. Users running OS v1.0.7.2942 will get an update that will only include this Adobe Flash update and should take only a few minutes to install. This is because of the piecemeal updates RIM allowed for in the last update which should make subsequent updates much easier.

So what are you waiting for? Hit that “check for updates” button now!

  1. This is just great! The last update disabled my front forwarding camera. This update just killed the rear camera! No where has anyone addressed this problem. I am on vacation and was using this to record memories. Unacceptable!

  2. Any idea if this update is supposed to include anything else? I kind of doubt it since it is only 29MB.

I’m surprised Saleem had camera problems. Mine worked fine on the last version. I’m downloading the new update now so I’ll keep you posted if it breaks the camera.

  3. @ Saleem, no problem with my camera either after this or previous upgrade. You might need to get hold of Rim Tech support.

  4. I havent had any issues with any upgrades. Sorry SaleemBO. Cameras both work fine.
