Groovy Notes Tries to Replicate a Diary on Your PlayBook

groovy notes groovy notes2

Jen let us know about Groovy Notes which is making some headway as a BlackBerry PlayBook diary throwing in some nice visual flair. It lets you take notes, lists, audio recordings and more in a sort of datebook. They try to do their best to replicate a day planner though it is missing some of the more complex features you would find in a more established app.

The Groovy Notes app is available now for the PlayBook in App World for $4.99. Let us know what you think if you pick it up!

  1. Great note taking app with lots of potential. Could use password protection, swiping between pages, the ability to transcribe voice noted into written notes, and the ability to use a digital pen to write notes.

  2. So great diary app!Can it be used on phone?

  3. Beautiful GUI. I want apps that sync… with something, anything, outside the PlayBook. Be that the internal BlackBerry Task or Memo app I hear RIM have yet to open up that possibility. How about synching to an external service like RTM or Toodledo?

Groovy Notes have promised DropBox support to store their database. I’d need a desktop app that can read that database otherwise it’s only a back up.
