I am not sure what possesses people to want to point X-rays at their gadgets but Tamas from BerryBlog.hu decided to do exactly that. It looks like one of his readers sent in CT Scans of his BlackBerry showing the inner guts of the device. Tamas pointed out that it would be fun to see if any sharp eyed readers can identify the BlackBerry in the CT scans. Take your best shot in the comments and I will let you know if you got it right!

It looks like the bold 9900/9930 from the size of the LCD screen.

From the shape of the screen and the battery, it’s an 8300 Curve. Could also be an 8310, 8320, or 8330.

Considering the rounded edges and the battery location not being dead center of the device and a lot smaller than the newer devices carry, I’d say it is a Curve 85xx series BlackBerry and since it does have a space for the new trackpads like my 9700 does and it has a SIM card metal slot that can be slightly seen under the battery then I’d go with the Curve 8520 instead of the 8530. The smaller older blue battery was the dead giveaway for me.

Curve 9300 (based on 2.4″ screen, camera, touchpad, qwerty, SD slot to side of battery)

it is most definitely NOT a CT scan., its a regular old X-Ray. Computed Tomography scans are done axially and show “slices” of the body on a sagital plane… you’d only see a slice of the device not a view through it… thats where the alternate name CAT scan comes from: Computed Axial Tomography. You can trust me, I’m a paramedic
