RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook Back-At-School Offer $100 MasterCard

On the BlackBerry website, I noticed this good incentive on the PlayBook:

“Special offer to BlackBerry customers only, purchase a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet between September 7th and September 22nd 2011 and receive a $100 Prepaid MasterCard Card. To qualify for the offer, you must:

  1. Be a current BlackBerry smartphone customer.
  2. Be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of claim submission.
  3. Be a legal resident of the US including the District of Columbia or a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec).
  4. Complete the Offer Claims process within this site.
  5. Mail a copy of the dated invoice, sales receipt or transaction record, a cutout of the original UPC bar code and the Offer Claim receipt to the specified address.
  6. Agree to the Exclusive BlackBerry PlayBook Back-At-School Offer Terms and Conditions”

If you haven’t already gotten your PlayBook, here is a good incentive to get one. Plus, you can use the MasterCard to get a new BlackBerry device you’ve been wanting or even purchase some accessories for the PlayBook. Hurry, before the offer expires.

  1. RIM should just price the playbook at $200 that’s the only way it would push in volumes.

  2. If you buy it on sale somewhere else.. does this promotion still apply?

  3. Not sure I sure wish I was 18 right about now lol

  4. I would buy two if they ever make it $200… The #2GB one that is.

  5. The price points for the Playbook have always been too high. Price the 16GB at $349 and sales would move. Having a solid base of users is critical to future of PB. The 10″ tablet also needs to be revisited

With OS2 release it would be a good strategy to adjust prices. This would get buyers to take another look at the PB

  6. The price has to go down at some point, I don’t think to many people will jump on board just for the android player when the price is still to steep.
