RIM said they would release the native PIM apps and the android app player late summer. Most of you are probably aware they are notorious for pushing deadlines to the last minute. 1. It’s near the end of August and they are talking a September release. Seems to good to be true.

My guess is September gets pushed to October.

Let’s hope this rocks and puts the playbook in good shape for Christmas. Also at that time, I hope it goes for less than the iPad. I think it is much better than the iPad but most people won’t.

  2. Agreed. RIMM should also offer discounts on the PlayBook to customers who purchase OS 7 smartphones and show previews of the upcoming QNX superphones.

  3. I feel Blackberry Colt is coming soon …

  4. I can’t say I believe in the rumors any more, lol. But I’m sure it will arrive at some point.

  5. Why did the chinese have it first i wonder

  6. Its a million reasons why they had it first, its a good thing to trust me.

  7. I hate to be *that guy*, but I just want to point out that late summer = September. We still have more than a few weeks left of summer, so it’s still possible that RIM releases this stuff before Sep 21/Fall (of course, I’ll believe it when I see it!).

  8. im just happy about the native email….

  9. Screen shots are great but rumors of release dates FROM the guys taken screenshots are better.
