AT&T Confirms BlackBerry Torch 9810 Pricing at $49.99 w/2-Year Contract

AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9810 Pricing

We told you yesterday that RIM let slip about the AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9810 launching on August 21st. JD pointed out to us that AT&T confirmed that date on Facebook along with pricing set at $49.99 with a 2 year contract. That price is way more aggressive than the $249.99 price range that the Bold 9900 & 9930 are playing in and the $149.99 price range of the Torch 9850 & 9860. Something tells me these will be moving quickly off AT&T’s shelves. Now if only they could launch the flagship 9900 soon…

  1. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at one of these pricing meetings.

    I’ll just stick to programming.

  2. 49.99!!!!!!!

What is the minimum plan you need to have to get it at that price????

    • Not much, probably your usual voice plan over $40 and data over $20-25 for a few months.
These phones will be selling like hot cakes on Sunday morning.

  3. Is that just for NEW contracts or is it also the UPGRADE price? My wife and I have an upgrade available around the end of the month. I wouldn’t mind picking up the 9810 and passing her my 9800.

    • Check your stores (AT&T or BestBuy), probably both would qualify since I’m doing the same thing with me and my wife with the difference, I’m upgrading to 9810 from 9700 and she’s joining me on a family plan with another 9810.

  4. One thing that makes me wonder, are they releasing the 9810 early for business accounts like mine ;-)? that would be cool but I don’t see that happening yet.
I’m checking my account every hour now…hahaha

  5. Pricing the 9810 for $49.99 is fair price with high bill you have to pay for early termination of your contract.

  6. Seems like the 9800 has been pretty popular, having both the touch screen and slide out keyboard so my feeling is this 9810 is going to be very popular at just $50…wow, can’t say I was expecting that.

  7. Wow, amazing price. We get so screwed up in Canada.
