We have not heard any official word from AT&T on the matter other than the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is coming soon. Tim let us know that RIM posted on Twitter that the AT&T BlackBerry Torch 9810 is coming on August 21st. The page they link to on AT&T’s website still shows it as "Coming Soon" but I will take RIM’s word on it.No word on pricing but my guess is $199.99 or $149.99 with a 2 year contract. Hopefully AT&T can get their act together and get the Bold 9900 out soon!

Excellent! Can’t wait to get my hands on the 9810. I know the Bold 9900 has a much better keyboard, but I really like the bigger screen on the Torch.

AT&T is a joke. Stop getting a big chubby over the slider phones and just release the 9900 already. I’m happy for RIM that AT&T is finally selling a BB7 device.. but I’m rather annoyed that the 9900 isn’t dropping until the end of November (projected).

Does it really count as a leak if the official RIM Twitter account says it? Jussayin’.

Not exactly a leak but definitely odd. RIM didn’t announce a release date until then to let carriers announce it. Then RIM goes ahead and announces it for AT&T when even AT&T won’t say…

I think RIM should take charge of all the release dates and consolidate them into one launch because it gets a little chaotic when the carriers do it. You have phones being released and the average consumer having no idea.

On the facebook account it says $49.99??? could this be true.
Also, what’s with the Colt? aka the QNX smartphone?
My guess is it’s just around the corner but will take a while to fix all the kinks in it before it’s ready for premium use.

In the US it’s exclusively for AT&T as far as I know, other countries have their own carrier deals with RIM.
