It has been a long while since the last significant update to BerryReader. It is still my favorite Google Reader client for BlackBerry but Bellshare let us know that it now fully supports OS 7.0. This new version 1.1.61 adds OS 7.0 compatibility though I am hoping they add the SendTo Menu option to share directly to the RIM Twitter and Facebook client for OS 7.0 devices though the current implementation also works. The update includes:
- Added BlackBerry OS 7.0 support
- Added new option to auto-refresh when app is opened
- Added new option to hide toolbar on touchscreen devices
- Bug fixes
You can pick up the official 1.1.61 release at this link along with a free 7 day trial. If you don’t already have a copy of BerryReader you can pick one up in the store for $9.95.

Make sure you have the old version backed up and available in case you have the same problem I had, and have to go back. The “update” will only scroll 3 PIXELS at a time on my 9700 running OS 6.0.0.615, making the app unusable. l’m not sure if mine is an isolated case or not, but will have to stick with the older version until a fix is found.
