In one fell swoop RIM has updated both Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones and for the BlackBerry PlayBook to v2.0. This new version brings different features to the different devices along with some BBM integration for smartphones and Facebook Places and Events for the PlayBook. Definitely worth a download if you are a heavy Facebook user.Download the app in BlackBerry App World: www.blackberry.com/appworld (note: it may take up to 24 hrs for the apps to appear in BlackBerry App World)

I found it for the Playbook after I hit the refresh button in App World. I don’t really think I notice much different from the previous version.

Got it. Uninstall from App World. Then delete from app listing under the ALL homescreen. then ‘upgrade’. Worked for me.

I didn’t see any changes and when I looked in App World I had 2 copies both claiming to be the current version. I have deleted both and reinstalled. That got me the new version.
