PlayBook OS Update Now Available v1.0.7.2670

For those of you that did not get a chance to update your PlayBook OS before RIM pulled it due to Bridge issues v1.0.7.2670.
Not sure if there are any new features with the update but hopefully it will fix those issues people were experiencing with BlackBerry Bridge. The update is somewhat lower than the previous one at only 311 MB.  If you never done an OS update on your PlayBook simply go to options click on software updates and click check. Eventually the device notifies you of the update. You can also do it via PC and Desktop Manager.

Thanks to deebo550 and tabletaholic for the tip.

  5. Did ATT just block the bridge web browser too?
    Oh my god…

    • Nope. I can still access internal sites through BES vis my 9800. In addition, I can reach standard internet sites. So far, it does not appear to have blocked any access through the bridge.

That said, it DOES appear they have blocked the standard method of tethering. WAP.CINGULARGPRS.COM as an access point gives an error message as “Invalid configuration”. The only valid access pint is ISP.CINGULAR. This is the one your phone must have paid a tethering plan to use.

      • Maybe on your BES is fine, but my BIS doesn’t. My bridge browser is greyed out as if my bridge connection isn’t working just for the browser…rest is OK.
Then when I open the bridge browser it says something about contacting ATT via a link or dialing 611 (something like that)…
