I decided to buy another Playbook casing from Amazon after getting my BlackBerry PlayBook. As the original Blackberry Playbook Leather Convertible case was pulled and out of stock, I had to look for alternatives. First, I bought the GTMax case, where the cheaper version covered the whole bezel and i did not take notice in the pictures. Second, i bought a Targus Truss Leather case. The problem with the Targus to me was its weight. Indeed, it was very high quality leather, it was a little too thick for my liking and it weighed as heavy as a playbook to me. So I decided to try this Mivizu case on my PlayBook. Read on to see what its like!
Mivizu Genuine Leather Cover with Stand for BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
Rating:

Price: $29.95 with $2.95 Standard shipping @ Amazon
The product came in a simple bubble envelope, in a clear plastic sheet.
A small silica gel pack with Styrofoam filling protected the insides. Whilst no instructions or manuals are included, it was pretty easy to see how to put the device in: through the opening flap at the bottom.

The interior is made of pretty anti-slip material so not only will it be sturdy when you use it as a stand, but also, you might have difficulty moving it in and out.
Weight wise, this was slightly heavier than the GTMax casing but definitely much lighter than the targus case.
Knowing your Blackberry playbook is protected when not in use is one thing but the main reason for getting a cover was to make it like a stand. Just like the Targus or perhaps the original Blackberry Leather Convertible case, just a simple flip of the cover and slide into place a perfect stand forms.
Access to all the ports plugs and connections are pretty unhindered apart from the fact that the case has to be open to access it.
On the back, there is a orange strap. This strap can be used to strap the case close: shut or to hold your notes.
Pros:
- Value for money in terms of quality
- Moderately light weight
- Flexible positions for stand
- Playbook functions not obstructed
- Multi-purpose strap
Cons:
- Removing case can be a task
- Case needs to be open to access the charging, usb or HDMI port.
Rating breakdown:
Overall Rating: 4/5
Quality: 5/5
Portability: 4/5
Ease of use: 4/5
Compatibility: 5/5

I love Amazon! I need to hook my baby up w/some protection… I’ve yet to accessorize.. But that case is looking nice and for 30bux is a great deal… Bet it has that ‘new leather’ scent to it too! Lol

Good case. I bought mine back in April for $10 less than the current price. Works great, nice looking and not too bulky.

Would not say so in overall protection (drops) but, standard protection, I will say so
