BlackBerry Business Cloud Services Detailed by RIM in Latest Doc

BlackBerry Cloud Services Diagram

One of our sources let us know that RIM has put up a document highlights their BlackBerry Business Cloud Services features and technical details. This is the most information I have seen come out of RIM about their new service that essentially offers a free hosted BES for companies that use Microsoft Office 365 hosting. From what I can see this is a pretty impressive feature set and I can see companies using it for a quick Exchange + BES rollout.

Check out the details in this PDF from RIM. (Direct link to PDF)

  1. Pressure from the iCloud: Rain on RIM’s parade, their Business Cloud.

iMessage: BBM is being targeted too!

RIM needs to take Apple more seriously as they really, really want a huge piece of the business pie from RIM.

    • Nah this is a purely business play especially for the many companies that won’t allow anything starting with an I on their network.

    • This is typical apple, slap a new name on a service that has failed 4 times and have everyone eww and ahh. Apple is having great success but they are becoming a parody of themselves. I wonder when the CEO is going to rename himself iSteve iJobs.

When Apple stops being the media darling it’s going to sink like the titanic. Other than iTunes everything it makes is overpriced crap.

  2. The I Cloud and I Message are purely superficial attempts to compete with Blackberry’s The Cloud and Blackberrry Messenger. Like almost everything Apple does, there is a lot of Flash but little substance. Of course, Apple will promote this as better than sliced bread.
