Unreleased BlackBerry Bold 9900 Simulator Found Online

IMG_3164

While RIM has announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900 they have been sort of quiet about it. We were told that the BlackBerry v7.0 SDK is coming soon which will probably come with a simulator but it has yet to launch. Until then you can get a chance to play with a leaked simulator for the device courtesy of the N4BB team. Most of the perks on the 9900 have to do with new hardware but the OS also got a nice overhaul.

  1. I am curious. The OS got a serious overhaul? I still can not distinguish OS 6 from 7. What was overhauled? Beside a tweak here and there the whole OS is basically the same. (PS. Not trying to be a douche, just seriously asking to figure out what is so different from the previous iteration of the OS)

  2. I tried this last night. Its very much a pre-release simulator. It looks like they took the Bold 9700 simulator, bumped up the resolution, and gave it an OS 6.1 build (before they renamed it to OS 7). Aside from giving you a rough idea of what OS 7 will look like, I’m not sure how useful it is. Hopefully we’ll get a more polished 9900 simulator in the near future.
