Leaked AT&T Roadmap Shows BlackBerry Torch 2 “Uwan” 9810 Launching in Q2

While this looks like an old roadmap from AT&T it still is a bit telling. This rumored roadmap shows a BlackBerry “Uwan” 9810 launching in Q2 of 2011. It still says the device runs BlackBerry OS 6.1 so it is definitely a month old if not more. On the other hand this means RIM was gearing up for a Q2 2011 release which ends in June so it might not be crazy to think we will see the Torch 2 in a June/July or maybe even August time frame. The odd part is that RIM announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900 yet did not mention any of these other devices officially…

What do you think of this rumored roadmap?

  1. I think it would be in RIMMS best interest to release these devices ASAP. As well as bump up the release date of their QNX devices.

  2. This timeline seems correct to me. They are pushing as hard as they can to get these out ASAP!

    • There have been too many delays, RIMM needs to put it into high gear to reassure customers and reduce loss of stock. Then they can pull ahead with the QNX phones.

  3. Have we seen all of the other hand sets come out? Just curious if RIM is the only one missing launch times or it only seems that way because I only read news about RIM.

  4. It would be great to see the Torch 2 out in Q2 although I’d even settle for a month or two later. As long as it’s available by August when I’m ready for an upgrade. It is surprising that they didn’t announce this phone yet though. Or am I mistaken?

  5. The Pantech P8000 was announced June 14th, and is available for purchase on the AT&T website…

    C’mon…I need that Torch 9810!! 🙂
