Latest RIM BlackBerry PlayBook Video Shows Off Flash in the Browser

BlackBerry PlayBook Flash Support

RIM is really hitting strong with the Flash support they have brought to the BlackBerry PlayBook. Their latest video (commercial) posted on YouTube puts that Flash support front and center. It shows off some impressive Flash websites loading in the browser with beautiful fluid graphics. The video kind of reminds me of a friend who was demoing the device a few days ago showing all it can do.

  1. Am I the only one who uses slightly exaggerated smooth gestures when showing the device to people? 😉

This looks good; I kind of hope, thoughh, that we get flashblock-like ability. I mostly run with Flash disabled now because of the myriad sites that load down their pages with Flash ads, etc. Which gets frustrating – as I often *do* want to use Flash– this leads to a lot of back-and-forth in the settings.

  2. Ah! I have been seeing this ad everyday for 5 days now! Couldn’t find it on the net.

I have no problems browsing sites and I have no compulsion to turn off flash.

Marc, guess its just the sites you frequent.

Gotta love the ad campaign, building and building

  3. This one is really nice. The message is this is better than the iPad and the best part is old Jobsy will never allow flash on iPad because of his feud with Adobe. I like the sites they pick, they look cool.

  4. Love the Flash song in the commercial! RIMM is really hitting this flash thing home. Great job!
