Who would have thought this day was coming? Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer just took the stage at BlackBerry World during the Keynote. He mentioned that he loves Windows Phone but that Microsoft has had a strong working relationship and partnership with RIM. Microsoft is going to invest uniquely in the BlackBerry Platform along with the Microsoft platform. Then announced in March that they would have a cloud offering with BlackBerry Services.

What’s in the BlackBerry platform for Microsoft? QNX technology… a real OS they wish they had
Microsoft will be bringing some of that home with them for the next gen Windows Phone and Windows desktop OS.

My guess is Mike L was right, or close enough to right when he said Playbook would be the industry standard tablet. At least close enough that MSFT and others want to be on it.
I’d like to see Cisco up there. If they drop their tablet it will be official BB will be THE tablet for Business.
