BlackBerry Bold Touch Wi-Fi Alliance Certified

BlackBerry_Bold_Touch_CertifiedWe have seen videos, pictures, and spec sheets fo the BlackBerry Bold Touch, and now we have further confirmation of the device. This time is through the Wi-Fi alliance which has issued a certification for the device Wi-Fi.  They list the device with the model number 9900, also confirming that the device will have 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi bands on board.

We expect this device to get announced at BlackBerry World next week. Hopefully they will have them on hand so we can play with them. The only thing is that last year RIM announced a few devices at WES but they took a really long time to get them out on the market. Lets hope RIM pushes this devices out on the field soon because it has been a while since they launched a good looking device.

  1. Yay, I’m praying it won’t get delayed for OS reasons…

  2. I’m so excited about the announcements to come next week!! That’s probably because I’m in such desperate need for a new BlackBerry. The Storm 3 will blow in shaking every pre-conceived idea of what a BlackBerry can do. Performance, power, responsiveness, flexibility, features!

I wish RIM would put in some of the PlayBook gesturing in BB 6.1 including an updated task switcher. The current BB 6.0/6.1 looks lame!!! I actually prefer the older BB 5.0 task switcher as you can slide through the running apps without blocking the entire screen!!, although BB OS 5 wasn’t always correctly reporting the running apps.

  3. Come out come out already! I’m itching for an upgrade.

  4. before, i was like ‘eahhhh’ now im like ‘yeahhh’… what u think caused the change?
