News360 Native App for the PlayBook Now Available

Article-(Bezel)The guys behind News360 let us know that their Application for the PlayBook is in App World Now. In the mean time they wanted to share some screenshots of the application running on the PlayBook. The application is a native app for the PlayBook meaning it has better integration.

You can pick up the application at this link, the app is available for free.

So far the application is very responsive and I really like the design.  Check out the full description below.

  1. I’ve noticed several good apps rolling in. Playbook is getting more useful and more fun every day!

On the first day I was a little worried aboit the lack of apps and what that would mean for the long term viability of the playbook, but after a few days this is fading.

It is hard to get out of the old RIM mentality but playbook really is different I can see programmers really enjoying exploring the playbook and making it do great things!

  2. Is anyone else having an issue installing this?

    • This is due to RIM approving the wrong version of the app, which messed up our App World availability. They fixed it as soon as we pointed it out yesterday, but it’s still propagating through their servers, so some people are still having trouble installing the app. Try again tomorrow, it should be fine by then.

      Thanks,

  4. Hope it works for you eventually, its a nice app to sift through the top news pretty easily.

Now we just need more dedicated newspaper apps like the Globe. FT please, or NYT.

  5. There is a Globe and Mail app, think it’s called “Globe News”

    • Yes, I have it and it’s very nice. Did you know that in the stories area below the main one you can scroll left-right to get more stories. This was not obvious to me until I did it by mistake. :)

  6. I have News360, and am enjoying it. Intuitive, and nicely designed.

  7. Love it new to the web and smart phone, its very easy
