ScoreMobile v1.8 Lets You Track Live Games with Push Alerts and More

ScoreMobile push

ScoreMobile updated their app to v1.8 a few days ago and its a pretty sweet upgrade. I could have sworn we published an article about it back when it came out on the 17th but for the life of me I cannot find it. (Thx Nikolaus for pointing that out) So just in case I didn’t I thought I would point out that the new version of ScoreMobile adds a sweet new feature with push alerts.

You can now get push alerts that you choose. For example, you select a league then a team and decide if you want to get an alert when a game starts/ends, halftime scores, everytime a goal is scored. The options depend on the sport which makes sense since for basketball you would get an alert every minute or so for score changes.

The other additions in v1.8 are:

  • added NCAAB March Madness Bracket view
  • added Crichet (ICC)
  • improved look & feel for ‘Settings’ page
  • many bug fixes
  • stability improvements
  • and performance enhancements

All in all a very sweet upgrade to ScoreMobile that you can pick up in App World.

PS: I am getting an intense feeling of déjà vu. I have definitely written this article before…

  1. I have to say this update is awesome! Now if they would include NLL scores that would be even better!

The push support is awesome! I love that I can be doing what I need to and not have to worry about having to check the scores of my favorite teams.

  2. You’re welcome Ronen, but can’t you choose a better screenshot than Wings up by 5? Boo! 😛

  3. Very nice update indeed!

  4. I love the push notification. The Score is a complete app for sports scores.

    • I totally agree chestr. This app is the best sports app I have found by far.

The NCAA brackets feature is amazing and so functional. You can click on any game and get information. Then you have the option of tracking the game via push notifications. Like Ronen said, you can select a team to get alerts for or you can just pick a single game.

Another feature I like is the ability to choose which leagues you track. You can remove sports that you’re not interested in to make the experience that much more streamlined.

Highly recommend this app for any sports fan.

  5. can’t seem to make it work for my torch
    get error:

error starting the score $2dtouch600: symbol “codemodulegroupmanager.getpropertiesfrommodulegro

  6. Yeah, this is a great update. Like I’ve said, a sports app which requires you to go to it to see if there are updates is not that much better than Integrating into the message list is cool and I find it better than subscribing to SMS alerts for a number of different reasons.

I like that they allow you to get alerts for a favourite team but also for a specific game. If a certain game is crucial for one reason other but your team isn’t playing, it’s nice to be able to be updated about that game without having to set one of the teams as a favourite.

I really wish they would have added curling. This is a Canadian company. If they can add Cricket, I think they can add Curling too. If you’re out there listening – the Worlds start in just over a week. There’s still time!

  7. Loved this app before the update, love it even more now.

  8. Best Sports app by far. Push notifications sounds great. It was a bit annoying having to constantly check back for updates.
