Sprint Offering $125 Rebate for Individuals Porting to their Smartphones

Sprint Change Credit

It has been awhile since carriers were offering incentives for customers to defect from another carrier. Sprint has been bleeding customers and their latest initiative is offering customers with single lines a $125 service credit if they port their number to Sprint and get a smartphone. As long as you port your number to Sprint by April 16th you can get a $125 credit applied to your bill after 60 days if you get a smartphone. If you get a dumb phone it is only $50.

There are a few caveats but you can read all the details on Sprint’s website. via Engadget

  1. very nice to see, kind of what Wind did up here when they first launched.

  2. I’d be all over it if their BB selection wasn’t fairly weak and their network speeds weren’t much slower for me than AT&T…

Would be slightly nice having unlimited data again, but I never get near the cap on a BB, only Android devices…

  3. I agree Papped, they only give you a month to jump and as it sits right now the only good device is the 9650.

  4. That’s some sweet incentives. Here in Indonesia, the providers use more brute tactics such as price war to get customers.
