It was only a few days ago when I asked all of our Twitter followers for expense tracking app suggestions. @MaticBitenc let us know that Toshl has released their expense tracking solution for BlackBerry today and I am definitely going to try it out. The app syncs its information with the Toshl cloud so your data is backed up unlike other apps that require desktop counterparts or don’t backup at all. You simply enter in your expenses and tag them. You can then sync them to the cloud and export them from there.
I am currently using the free trial but the app supposedly has both a free and pro version available with more features as you can see here. The Pro version is a reasonable $19.95 a year which is not bad.
Here are the features of the initial BlackBerry Toshl app:
- adding, editing, deleting expenses
- timeline, tags, detail view
- currency settings
- sync with Toshl.com
- registration & log in for Toshl.com
- time span
- tags editing
I have to say I am happy that Toshl has made an emphasis of user interface design with a beautiful looking app. If you want to try it out just head on over to this direct OTA link or read more about the app on the product description page.

Many many thanks for the kind review. Indeed, BlackBerry version development was quite a challenge because we set our design goals extremely high, while knowing that BB apps usually put functions first, leaving esthetics behind. We tried to do both in parallel and hopefully we pulled it off.
Again, many thanks for review. We will continue to do our best.

The UI is very pretty, by far the best compared to other similar apps. Would be more interesting if it could compile the data to expense graph/chart, trendline, etc, hehe

Awesome, much obliged!
Well, if you backup your expenses to toshl.com, you can have fancy graphs like this one: http://toshl.com/demo/timeline/

Hi there
depending on the phone and number of installed apps user has, first launch can take a while, because the app creates lots of stuff that are needed for Toshl to work properly.
Please, let it sit there for a while.
