You have to love RIM’s super secret way of leaking device names with UAProf documents. The latest finds by N4BB spotted UAProf documents for the 9850, 9860 and 9900. These seem to be devices we have already heard rumors about but here is how it looks like they break down:

  • BlackBerry 9850
    • Possibly the Storm 3 Monaco
    • 480×800 screen
    • GSM and CDMA radios
    • OS 6.1
  • BlackBerry 9860
    • Possibly the European Storm 3 Monza
    • 480×800 resolution
    • Qualcomm CPU
  • BlackBerry 9900
    • Possibly the Bold Touch or the BlackBerry Torch 2
    • 480×640 resolution

  1. Screen resolution still lags….

  2. i cant wait to see them officially announce these.

I hope they will support QNX!(down the road.. i know they come with 6.1)

  3. Cool, what steps do they have left before final release?

  4. The 9850 and 9860 going to be storm devices

  5. The Storm 3 resolutions look good. It doesn’t have to be bleeding edge; near leading edge is fine. 800×480 is good enough for my next smartphone. I just need it now not later. In six months, these specs will be even further behind.

  6. Not sure I get the goal of sticking new Storm’s in the same “number family” as the Torch line, but I guess they are pretty much out of 4 digit product family ranges.

  7. I wonder if there will be a CDMA torch. In the lead up to the release of the Torch, they said there would be 2 versions: one going to ATT and the other going to Sprint.

  8. Yep there’s gonna be a CDMA torch
