SugarSync has Auto-Sync BlackBerry Feature on Roadmap

SugarSync Autosync

SugarSync has saved my (blank) quite a few times. I feel like the service was designed with me in mind but it has been missing one feature that I really want. The ability to sync a SugarSync folder with my BlackBerry. Their BlackBerry app allows you to access your SugarSync files from your device but it does not let you for example sync your pictures folder with SugarSync automatically.

Luis had me in mind when he asked SugarSync if they would be adding such a feature and their response is heart warming yet sad. They responded from their Twitter account that:

Auto-sync on our BlackBerry app is on our roadmap; we’re starting with Android, and then will roll out to other mobile OS apps.

They also confirmed that:

Yes, we are definitely looking into the Playbook as well. Stay tuned for updates there!

Its sad that Android is getting the auto-sync capabilities first but I am glad SugarSync has BlackBerry on their roadmap. Hopefully we will be getting this sooner rather than later. I know quite a few BlackBerry users who would jump at the opportunity to easily backup AND share their pictures from SugarSync.

  1. good news, I wonder if BB Protect will be a competitor to what they offer.

  2. I hope they fix the problem I had trying to access my pictures. It would load a few pictures but then it freezes afterwards.

  3. This would be a great plus!!!

  4. Nope Fubaz, I don’tthink so. SugarSync doesn’t really backup device data, just files.
