When I first tried out Angry Farm I was having issues with this game lagging on my BlackBerry Torch but they seem to be resolved with a reboot. Now that I have had a chance to play this Angry Birds for BlackBerry knockoff I have to say I am pretty impressed with Smarter Apps and their Angry Farm game. The game dynamics are about the same as Angry Birds with different animals at play.
My favorite part of the knockoff is how Smarter Apps describes the game:
Help the angry animals fight back to clear the farm of marauding foxes. The angry animals are armed with a catapult and they fly through the air like furious birds before colliding spectacularly with the foxes who are hiding inside protective farm structures.
I think by now Rovio should have been able to put together a Angry Birds game for BlackBerry so its no surprise they already have a knockoff. If you want to get in on the Angry Farm fun you can pick up a copy of the Angry Birds clone for BlackBerry for $4.99 in the store.
Let us know what you think of Angry Farm in the comments!

Its a decent game, but it does have its share of bugs and glitches.

I feel like Rovio probably didn’t bother because BlackBerry is just not strong enough for the app? I don’t know. It seems like a lot of developers either leave out bb or leave them for last. It doesn’t matter to me really. But I digress…
I like the look of the game. I already have angry birds on my iOS so no need to get the knockoff for $4.99. Haha! Yes, $4.99. That makes me laugh. I got the birds for $0.99. That’s also a bit a strange to me. Lol

If what you’re saying is true about developers, then Smarter Apps is justified in pricing their app at 4.99. Besides, if people want Angry Birds on BB so much, they should be willing to pay the price.

Now that I got Ronen’s stamp of approval, I’m gonna have to get it.

I’m not sure why isn’t his lagging.. I have done 3 reboots and still lags! Maybe is my memory.. (160mb remaining for apps)

Thanks for the review. That’s good to know that a reboot can fix the lag issues. The description is great! “Furious birds?” Awesome.

In all fairness, isn’t Angry Birds just “another” catapult game? I ask because I’ve never played it. If it is just a catapult game, I don’t think it’s fair to say that Angry Farm is a knockoff.
I wish they had a trial version of Angry Farm like Exploding Boxes did.

The game looks cool enough. However, pricing it at $4.99 is a bit much.

I can see 4.99 – if the demand is there, charge what the market will bear. If the real angry birds ever makes it over, I suspect that will drop a bit…

I think it will slide to the same price or lower

Angry birds was #1 paid app across the world, they were trying to cash in on some of the angry shares lol, but it was .99 cents where as the “knockoff” is 5x the price.. first I have heard of the fake being more expensive than the authentic. Anyone saw the Angry Clown There in app world? Now, i would pay 4 bucks to toss and catapult clowns into solid objects.. Theres a cash crop “app”

I’m surprised there aren’t more knock-offs out there. It is odd for a fake to be priced higher, but obviously somebody is buying or it wouldn’t make the Top 25 list. I only wish I had thought of it.

I’d like to give this one a try and see how it compares to the iphone app.

If people have trouble with it lagging on a Torch with 160MB free, I’m not even gonna bother trying on my poor Storm with <10MB free.

My Torch has 287 MB free and it still lags. It isn’t my phone or others, its the game. IMO
