Twitter For BlackBerry v1.1.0.13 Found Online New Home Screen Icon

Capture on 02-19-2011 12-02-12With the problems that UberTwitter (now known as UberSocial) had yesterday it left many users looking for other options to get their Twitter fix. One of the best options out there is Twitter for BlackBerry recently updated to v1.1.0.12 and now BlackBerry Empire posted a link for v1.1.0.13.   This new download brings a  new look to the home screen icon and the notification icon also looks to be updated.  The direct message section also looks different than before.

Note: It would seem that this update is for BB6 only and make sure you are currently logged in to an official version of twitter 4 BlackBerry before you download if not you will be asked for a code after a reboot.

Download OTA

Let us know in the comments if you guys find anything else that is new.

On another note if you do like the UberSocial app you should be able to download the new updated version with the new name but I am not sure if it is working just yet.

Head over to this link to read more about it.

Thanks to Tashana for the tip.

  5. whats the keycode for it?

  6. weird i was logged in to the official twitter, but it still asks for a keycode?

  7. Had the same problem as the other posts back to .12

  9. I did as per the instruction, still asking for code.

  10. Ditto

  11. like the old tweetgenius icon

  12. I was to install and run twitter . 13 without keycode when I upgraded from .11. But when I tried upgrading from .12 it did not work.

  13. I can’t get past code. Tried everything

  14. Twitpic now supports video uploads. ( It would be great for the BlackBerry Twitter app to natively let you share a video captured on your BB

  15. i cudnt help but notice that ur on T-Mobile 9800 and have UMA…how can that be done?

  16. i dont know why RIM cant do what SocialScope has done and make on integrated app….. its nice to see them trying but i think people would adopt it more if they made it a multiplatform app.
