T-Mobile “See BlackBerry Different” Event Highlights New Touch Screen BlackBerry Devices & The PlayBook

t-mobile-logoblackberryroadmap20115_thumbEarlier this month we mentioned a T-Mobile employee event title “See BlackBerry Different” that left us with quite a few questions. Ronen mention that it would be about the PlayBook. Our friends over at PocketBerry have the inside scoop on the event which turns out to be about both the PlayBook and a new line of BlackBerry devices.

At the event T-Mobile had the PlayBook on hand for employees to play with. T-Mobile will be carrying the Wi-Fi only at the moment. Hopefully they will be getting a 4G version later this year.

The best part and new information from the event is the fact that T-Mobile will finally be getting a touch screen BlackBerry. It looks like the BlackBerry storm 3 will be headed to T-Mobile late this spring with the exact same specs we seen in previous leaked slides with T-Mobile flavor added to it.

They also mentioned other devices with touch screen and full QWERTY but did not mention the specifications or the name of the devices. This leads us to believe that it will be the Montana and a basic upgrade to the curve line of  devices we have already seen in the leaked roadmap for 2011.

According to the tipster the event highlighted more on statistics about BBM, and a website where employees can participate to win prizes. Another event is scheduled for tomorrow in NY so hopefully we will have more solid news for you.

All of this lines up quite well with some other rumors we have been hearing from our sources, which is nice to see that not all carriers are giving RIM the cold shoulder and if this holds up we may finally see the end  of Verizon’s exclusive to the storm line here in the U.S.
