RIM Launches Facebook App for Valentines Day Wallpapers

Screen shot 2011-02-13 at 2.50.06 PM

RIM’s Facebook team keeps on pumping out apps with the latest focused around Valentine’s Day which is today. The app lets you select from all of your Facebook pictures (though not the ones other people have tagged you in) and make the picture more festive. You can add Valentines Day themed frames and images to the picture you choose to spice things up. All in all not a bad app and at the end of the day it helps you send it to your BlackBerry.

Check it out at this link on Facebook though you will have to allow it access to your profile to gather your pictures. Not sure how I feel about all these apps needing access…

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

  1. Ummm hjow does it work? Do they do it or do we edit via our bb or via or computer?

  2. You edit on your computer and then you can send an email to your BB with the link to the wallpaper you made. I tried it and it didn’t work properly. I selected my BB, added a frame to one of my profile pics and then when I clicked finish, it was totally cut off. Only showing the bottom right corner.

Its kind of a promising app if it worked. Makes it really easy to customize wallpapers.

  3. seems to be an online app.

  4. This is a pc app not a device app. Eh. Apparently, the Facebook BlackBerry team needs more job duties! Lol

  5. Corey, I agree… apps like this should be developed by the RIM FB Team when the app needs so much work!

  6. I like what RIM is trying with this.

  7. I like it that RIM is really pushing more of its own apps and tools for its customers.

  8. ummm, not my thing…
